About This Procedure:
A fetal ultrasound uses sound waves to create pictures of the baby during pregnancy. A probe is placed on the mom’s belly and the pictures are viewed on a computer screen. This particular ultrasound is done as a limited follow-up to answer a question about the well-being of the unborn infant like to check an abnormal result from an earlier test.
The procedure’s price varies a lot as it can be done in a number of settings – like a doctor’s office, an outpatient center, or a hospital outpatient department.
