The WA-APCD Lead Organization (LO) is committed to protecting individual privacy and securing personal information made available to us when you visit Washington HealthCareCompare ( the site maintained by the LO) or visit our pages hosted by other sites (such as our official profile on the LO’s site). This Privacy Policy describes what information is made available to the LO and how that information is used and retained.

Information You Give Us

You can visit our website without revealing any personal information about yourself or telling us who you are. We do not collect personal information, such as your name, address, phone number, or email address, while you browse. If you choose to contact us with personal information through our website, we use that information to respond to your message and to help provide the information requested. We treat emails the same way we treat letters sent to the LO. We do not collect personal information for any purpose other than to respond to you. We only share information with another agency if your inquiry relates to that agency, or as otherwise required by law. Moreover, we do not create individual profiles with your personal information or provide it to any private or commercial organizations.

Information Automatically Collected

When you visit, the following basic information is automatically received and stored by the web servers hosting

The LO is required by law to post all data requests and final decisions on the WA-APCD web site. This includes posting requests for the release of protected health information or proprietary financial information, and the schedule for the receipt of public comment on the request. In these cases, commenters will be explicitly notified of future release of their input.


Electronically submitted information is maintained and destroyed according to the principles of the Federal Records Act and Freedom of Information Act and the regulations and records schedules approved by the National Archives and Records Administration.

Our data storage devices are designed to accurately and safely store your data, thereby substantially minimizing the possibility of data corruption.
