About This Procedure:
Physical therapy (PT) is exercise and movement to strengthen muscles, relieve pain, move more easily, and improve stamina. PT activities include stretching, aerobic exercises like fast walking or using a stationary bike, and balancing exercises. This therapy helps people do daily tasks more easily whether for people who are recovering from surgery or injury or who have ongoing health problems like arthritis.
This particular PT visit is for a 15-minute session; for each additional 15-minutes of treatment the price is comparable to the price of the first 15-minutes shown here.
Physical therapy is a lower cost treatment that is done in a medical office. And, for many conditions, patients are taught how to continue their exercises at home. Often, physical therapy is a good early treatment step before considering other treatment options like surgery or medications.

Included In This Price:
The price covers just this one service – the physical therapy visit. This price does not include any other care like tests or medications.
