About This Procedure:
In a breast biopsy procedure, a breast tissue sample is taken to check for signs of breast cancer or other disorders. After numbing the breast then, using ultrasound to picture the tissue area, a needle is inserted into the breast and a sample of cells is taken through the needle.
The procedure’s price varies a lot as it can be done in a number of settings – like a doctor’s office, an outpatient center, or a hospital outpatient department.
An alternative to this needle biopsy procedure is a minor surgery in which the sample is taken by making a small cut in the breast – this surgery costs more and can scar the breast.

Included In This Price:
The price of this service, done in an outpatient facility, includes all of the care you get that day - the fees for the facility, the doctors and others.
