OIC Data-Driven Insights

The Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) safeguards insurance consumers and regulates the insurance industry.
OIC projects
OIC uses WA-APCD data to improve our understanding of market dynamics to promote a stable insurance market that includes healthy competition based on quality and cost. OIC projects include:
- Exploring data and its best application in market analytics.
- Understanding trends in service utilization and network access.
- Assessing the impacts of pricing on consumer utilization and plan choice.
- Preparing analytical reports and analysis for interested parties.
How is WA-APCD data used to create OIC reports?
